Upgrading from an existing installation of Antair Spam Filter

These instructions will show you how to upgrade your existing installation of Antair BlackBerry Spam Filter to the latest version of the product.

The new installation will be the trial version of Antair BlackBerry Spam Filter 3.0. To activate the full version of the program, you will need to request an upgrade registration code.

Removing the previous version from your device

First, the previous installation of Antair BlackBerry Spam Filter must be removed from the device.

• On your BlackBerry, select OPTIONS::ADVANCED OPTIONS::APPLICATIONS. On some devices, the icon may be labeled SETTINGS instead of OPTIONS.


• This screen lists the various applications installed on your device. Find the entry for Antair Spam Filter. Depending on your BlackBerry model, if it isn't on this screen, it may be located under the CORE APPLICATIONS menu item.


• Once the entry for Antair Spam Filter is found and selected, click on the trackwheel (or, for newer devices, on the MENU button to the left of the center trackball), and select DELETE or REMOVE.


• Please restart the device if prompted to do so.

Installing the newest version

Now that the old version of Antair BlackBerry Spam Filter is removed, you can install the trial version of Antair BlackBerry Spam Filter 3.0

Installing Antair Spam Filter onto your BlackBerry device couldn't be easier. You don't even need access to a computer. You can install directly from your BlackBerry device.

• Start the BlackBerry web browser
• Browse to http://www.antair.com/ota
• Click on the Antair Spam Filter link
• Done!

Antair Spam Filter will download and install onto your device automatically.

Alternatively, you can download Antair Spam Filter to your desktop, and then use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to install the software to your BlackBerry handheld. Click here for full instructions on using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to install Antair Spam Filter.

Activating the full version of the application

If you've purchased Antair Spam Filter previously, please request your registration code for the new version of the product.

Once you have your registration code, activating the full version of Antair Spam Filter is easy.

Start Antair BlackBerry Spam Filter 3.0 by clicking on its icon. Depending on your BlackBerry model, this icon will either be on the main screen or under the APPLICATIONS folder.

Click on the trackwheel or the menu button to the left of the trackball (depending on your BlackBerry model), to bring up the main application menu. 

Scroll toward the bottom of the menu and select FULL VERSION.

The FULL VERSION screen has a button which, when clicked, will allow you to enter your registration code.

Entering the registration code unlocks the full version of the product and removes the restrictions of the trial version.
